4 Pack E06 Mini Human Sensing Switch – HC‑SR505 Micro PIR Motion Sensor Module
Product Description
The E06 Mini Human Sensing Switch is a tiny human‑body infrared motion sensor module built around the HC‑SR505 PIR device. It detects changes in infrared radiation caused by human movement within its field of view and outputs a digital signal that can directly drive logic inputs or, via a transistor or relay, control loads like LEDs or small lamps.
Thanks to its small PCB size, low quiescent current, and wide supply voltage range, this module is ideal for battery‑powered and embedded designs where a full‑size PIR sensor would be too large. It is commonly used in hallway lights, small security devices, DIY alarm systems, and smart‑home presence sensors.
Ideal Uses
Automatic hallway or closet lighting that turns on when motion is detected and off after a delay.
Small security or alarm systems that trigger a buzzer, relay, or notification when motion is sensed.
Smart‑home occupancy sensors feeding ESP32 or other microcontrollers for presence‑aware automation.
Battery‑powered gadgets such as night lights, portable motion alarms, or wake‑up indicators.
Educational projects demonstrating PIR motion detection and low‑power sensing.
Compatibility
-
Works with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, and similar microcontrollers by connecting the digital output to a GPIO pin.
-
Operates from a wide DC supply range (typically 4.5–20 V), allowing use with common 5 V or 12 V systems (always confirm your specific module spec).
-
Can be used with or without a microcontroller – the output can directly drive an LED via a resistor or be used with a transistor/relay to switch small loads.
-
Suitable for integration into small enclosures and sensor assemblies thanks to its very compact PCB footprint.
-
Key Features
-
PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detection tuned for human presence within a short range.
-
Extremely compact module, typically around 10 × 23 mm PCB size, ideal for space‑constrained designs.
-
Automatic repeatable trigger output: stays high for a defined delay (around 8 seconds by default) after motion is detected.
-
Wide operating voltage range (about 4.5–20 V DC), making it flexible for many low‑voltage systems.
-
Very low static current (tens of microamps), well‑suited to battery‑powered devices.
-
Detection distance typically up to about 3 m within an approximate 100° cone field of view.
-
Simple 3‑pin interface: VCC, GND, and OUT, with logic output of around 3.3 V when motion is detected.
-
Technical Specs (Typical, HC‑SR505 E06)
Exact values depend on the specific module revision and vendor:
-
Delay Time: ~8 seconds ±30% (typical).
-
PCB Dimensions: approx. 10 × 23 mm.
-

Safety Note
-
When using the module to control mains‑powered loads, always isolate the PIR output through proper driver circuits (transistor, relay module, or solid‑state relay) and follow local electrical safety codes; never drive high‑voltage loads directly from the sensor.
-
Ensure correct polarity and supply voltage; reverse connection or overvoltage can permanently damage the module.
-
Avoid pointing the sensor at rapidly changing heat sources (heaters, vents, direct sunlight) to reduce false triggers.
-
Secure the module mechanically and shield it from moisture and dust in long‑term installations to maintain reliability.
